Dr. Marilyn Parker, LPC-S, NCC
Founder/CEO - The Wise Pearl Foundation
Dr. Marilyn Parker founded The Wise Pearl Foundation Non-Profit Organization 501(c)(3) in September of 2017 based upon life’s principles embedded within her to confront and conquer obstacles that remain detrimental to life's development. Dr. Parker, also known as “The Wise Doctor” to many, is a very proud native of Port Arthur, Texas where southern culture taught her to be humble, hospitable, and to know her worth. Growing up motherless as a young child was silently overwhelming and was her fuel in becoming a community educator. Dr. Parker knows that who you are as a child is your foundation to life and must be healthy, if not, dysfunction may become a normal way of life. She thrives on her inspirational calling to educate and serve the community by challenging others to be empowered by knowing their worth, life path, and strengths that are vital to the fulfillment of divine purpose.
As a public school administrator, licensed therapist, collegiate professor, public speaker, mentor, and State of Texas trainer, Dr. Parker is always eager to serve the needs of those from all walks of life to teach preventative measures to confront obstacles, leading to success. Determined to continue to touch the lives of children without any or limited direction, who have lost parents, surviving a dysfunctional family life, suffering from peer pressure and/or bullying, or low self-esteem, Dr. Parker assumes the responsibility of teaching how to achieve a healthy mind-set and lifestyle. Also, she educates/trains parents to be supportive of their children in addressing today’s societal pressures, provide life skills to adults who desire to achieve purpose and provide intervention to families to build or restore healthy family structures.
Dr. Parker firmly believes that each human being, child or adult, is entitled to a meaningful life, taking ownership of their spiritual, mental, physical, emotional, and social development that can be achieved through community supported efforts.
